Aspra is the solo project of Sophia Sarigiannidou,best known as one half of the synthpop duo Marsheaux.

Her debut single ‘Velvet’ comes out August 15th, it is a rework of the shoegaze masterpiece by Big Pink. Aspra takes the edgy original track and converts it into a fragile atmospheric one, swathed with a nostalgic mellow feeling.

Velvet was recorded during lockdown at her studio in Athens.

The debut Aspra album will be out on 22/2/22
